Shooting legal advice
DAVID FROST
We are already bound by the European Firearms Directive which is why you need a European Firearms Pass if you want to take a gun and go shooting on the Continent.
Every country has its own laws and some are worse than ours.
For example, in France you cant have a military calibre rifle such as a .308, nor can you lamp foxes at night.
Whilst the actual ownership of a gun in France is less complicated than in the UK you cant use one without passing a hunting test.
Our system is far from perfect but that doesnt mean everyone else has a better one.
