When altering the trigger on a budget side-by-side 12-bore side-lock, made in Spain by Denton & Kennel, Jason noticed that one of the firing pins was broken.

The gun was probably made around 30 or 40 years ago, was relatively inexpensive when new, but it’s still worth somewhere in the region of £350 to £400 at today’s prices.

The broken firing pin wasn’t tricky to spot – one pin was sticking out nearly twice the length of the other!

With this step-by-step photo guide, Jason shows you how to repair a broken firing pin.
