No way do I want her back after all this, but how do I go about getting my guns returned? And another thing – is this normal police procedure where a domestic is concerned, and guns are on the premises?
DAVID FROST says: If the police receive a report that somebody has threatened to kill somebody else they have to take action, especially if the alleged threat has been made by somebody with access to firearms.
However it is quite common in domestic incidents for the report to be made out of spite.
You will need to talk with the police about getting your guns back, but before you do so I suggest you contact BASC’s firearms department for advice on the best way to approach the situation.
If you aren’t a member of BASC this is the moment at which you’ll realise you should have been.
