The North West Group of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club is holding a training class on Sunday August 15 at Glan Llyn Uchaf, Brynford.
Open to all HPR breeds, as long as their handlers are members of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club.

On Saturday August 14 Eastern Counties Golden Retriever Club are holding novice dog/novice handler and veteran working tests on the Ampton Shoot at Great Livermere by kind permission of Peter Rushbrook.
Both events are confined to golden retrievers.
The novice dog/novice handler competition has a variety of special trophies so everyone has a target to aim for.
The closing date for entries is Saturday August 7.

This annual event has become a celebration of everything that is great in the British Gun Trade.
The price for the day is £40 - which includes, clays, buffet style lunch but excludes cartridges.
The course will comprise of 100 targets all simulating typical English quarry, spread over 12 stands, including our 120 foot High Tower, through out Sporting Targets 40 acre estate.
The outcome will be decided by the highest scores in each of the categories at 2.30pm, approximately, followed by prize giving on Sunday 29th August.
The overall high gun will receive the prestigious British Side-by-Side Championship Cup, to keep for one year and then defend or relinquish in 2011.
In addition a trophy will be awarded in each of the gauges, as well as Seniors, Ladies, Veterans and colts.
In the event of a tie, for the High Gun, a shoot off will take place, for all other places and trophies count back will be applied.
Safety, hearing and eye protection is compulsory and the wearing of protective head gear is recommended.
Please do not bring dogs.
Standard load cartridges will be available to purchase on the day, however, if you have any special requirements please call.
Friends and family are encouraged to come and watch, take photos and enjoy the day with you; an additional charge will be applicable for lunch.
We would ask spectators to note safety rules.
We have a growing number of sponsors wanting to be part of this event and so we will up date prizes on our website as time goes on.

To mark the start of the Grouse Season, Barbury are hosting a Simulated Grouse Day on Thursday 12th August from 9:30am to 5pm, where members and non-members can put their expertise and skills into practice.
Participants will have the option to shoot a sporting round of 50 targets and/or shoot a selection of simulated grouse targets with prices starting at £18 for Members and £20 for Non-Members.
