The Saturday of the forthcoming CLA Game Fair (August 1) at Harewood House near Leeds has been designated Ladies Day.

Ladies are being encouraged to dress up for the CLA Game Fair’s second day and take advantage of the various discounts, promotions and events that will be on offer.

The best turned out ladies will also be in with the chance of being named Best Dressed Lady via a competition being run in conjunction with La Di Da magazine.

La Di Da, a popular society magazine covering North Yorkshire and the north east of England, will be sending scouts out on Saturday morning to select and then invite the most stylish ladies to enter the competition.

Finalists will be judged on the Welligogs stand with the winner receiving a Welligogs’ tweed jacket worth £350 and a pair of tickets to the 2016 CLA Game Fair. La Di Da is offering a year’s subscription to the magazine as a second prize.

Elsewhere, ladies wanting to try clay shooting can receive a 25 per cent discount voucher if they sign up for newsletters on the CLA Game Fair website.

The final of the Lady Shot of the Year competition, run in conjunction with the Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club, will also take place during the CLA Game Fair.

Tony Wall, CLA Game Fair director, said: “Ladies Days are a well known part of events around the country such as the Cheltenham Festival and Henley Regatta and are enormously popular. What better way to reward our CLA Game Fair lady visitors with a day offering them this fantastic array of events and promotions. So grab your hat and dress to impress at the Celebration of the Great British Countryside!”
