Organisers of this year?s CLA Game Fair, which took place last weekend at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, have described the weekend as ?absolutely fantastic? and ?sensational?.

Fiona Eastman, director of marketing and show development, told Shooting Times that 148,500 people visited the event over the three days, the second highest figure in the event?s history.

She said: ?The figure reflects very highly on the continuing success of The CLA Game Fair. It?s not only fieldsports enthusiasts who are visitors ? it?s a wider audience who enjoy a day of learning more about the countryside.

?The show was a great success at all levels, not only for us as show organisers but also for all the exhibitors who all reported a high success rate. The event gives the very best platform for rural businesses.?

The Shooting Times stand was busy with visitors throughout the weekend, with readers chatting to contributors including Tony Jackson, John Humphreys and Keith Reynolds.
