The United Retriever Club Hants and South West held their first working test of 2009 at Cleeves Farm, Chilmark.

Held by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Henry Pelham, the event was generously sponsored by Squires & Beaumont Dog Food.

The weather and the venue were both superb with woodland and gently sloped grassland ideal for hunting exercises as well as marking and a walk-up.

Dave England had set the tests and gave the handlers plenty to think about.

Elizabeth Pelham and Celia Norris judged the brace, and the novice section was judged by Nick Coates and Jane Manley.
