Almost 50 dogs and their owners turned out to compete at the annual BASC Northern Ireland Inter-Club Gundog Test.

The test, which involved three retrieves including one from water, was held in the grounds of the Larchfield Estate, near Lisburn.

It was sponsored by Chudley’s, Sporting Saint Gundog Training Equipment, Norspace and North Down Marquees.

Thanks also to Gavin and Sarah Mackie from Larchfield Estate, lasershootingni.com, Gilbert Irvine of Plastic Promotions and Trevor Rush of Alpha Dog Trailers.

There was double success on the day for Simon Parkes and his dog Tara, who won the individual and the top dog prizes.

Simon took home £175 plus a bag of Chudleys dog food and a gundog training pack from Sporting Saint.

Top team on the day were the Comber, comprising of Billy Sinclair with Bo, Alan Harper with Tina and Billy Harper with Molly. They won £150, a bag of Chudleys dog food and gundog training packs.
