This pic was sent in by Noel Maughan, it's of his pal Tony Kieran from Ballycastle, Co. Mayo, Eire, with his first 'left & right' of woodcock, shot on 16th December, 2007. He is being congratulated by his cocker bitch 'Lisenair Son-Ya-Afon'. Noel has applied for membership of the Shooting Times Woodcock Club.
Here is 13 year-old Connor Doherty's German pointer puppy, Stella. she is pointing at a snipe on a mountain near my home in Magherafelt in Northen Ireland. Connor says his dad has shot five snipe over her and each time she goes out she gets better.
Damian Brook sent in this pic of his 6yr old daughter, Leah Brook, with a woodcock he shot on the Bog Hall (Black powder cartridge) pheasant shoot in Yorkshire.
Mark Toft sent in this pic: "This is an interesting picture of a roe deer I shot some time ago that had obviously been shot at before with the shot passing cleanly through both ears. Apart from this the deer was in good condition."
