Objections to new proposals to licence sea anglers head to the PM's own website

Proposals announced last week by DEFRA to introduce a licensing system for sea anglers, which would include beach anglers as well as boat fishing and charter trips, have been met with opposition from angling groups arguing that commercial fishing is the biggest threat to marine conservation. An online petition opposing the plans has been set up. To add your signature, click on http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/anglers
