Steve Bloomfield has been unveiled as BASC's new regional director for the Midlands.

Mr Bloomfield, who will take up the position on February 25, was formerly the headkeeper at Bretby Park near Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and has an extensive background in gamekeeping.

“I am delighted to be given the opportunity to work for BASC members as regional director for the Midlands," said Mr Bloomfield.

"I hope the 30 years spent in fieldsports, game management and conservation will prove to be valuable in this important role. I am particularly keen on the training and education of young people and look forward to working alongside our excellent regional team.”
