A charity calendar featuring gamekeepers and a variety of figures from the shooting world will be launched at the Scottish Game Fair this summer.
The money raised from the sale of the calendars will be split evenly between the Gamekeeper Welfare Network (GWN) and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The calendar features a variety of prominent female figures, well known for their support of sporting and countryside issues. The models include Her Grace the Duchess of Rutland and Camilla Clark, the editor of Shooting Times, with Lord James Percy also featuring as the titular Lord
The idea for the a fundraising calendar was developed by Helen Benson, who set up the GWN in 2005 to support gamekeepers, ghillies and stalkers and stalkers throughout the country. Macmillan Cancer Support is seen as the ideal partner charity, as it offers great support to those affected by cancer who live in rural areas.
Mrs Benson said: We hope to raise valuable funds for both charities, and really make a difference. The value of the sporting world in its commitment to many other charities is substantial throughout the country - I hope this will prove no exception.
The calendars will be available on stands belonging to several organisations throughout the show season, and everyone who purchases a calendar will have the opportunity to enter a free prize draw for a hand-made suit worth £1,000 from Carter Country Wear.
