Bettys Cookery School, part of Bettys café tea rooms and craft bakers, has a new line-up of courses over the winter months for those who want to get more out of their kitchen skills.
Among the courses on offer are Sharpen those Knife Skills (1 November), Christmas Cakes and Puddings (5 November), Chocolate for Beginners (16 November) and Catch of the Day (16 December).
Frederick Belmont founded Bettys in 1919, and today staff still strive for "simple, honest cooking using the best-quality ingredients". The cookery school was founded by Lesley Wild, one of Belmont's ancestors and offers tuition ranging from demonstrations and one-day practicals to two-week certificate courses. It is located close to Bettys Craft Bakery in Harrogate, and boasts a purpose-built kitchen with a large demonstration area and plasma screen.
So enrol yourself on a course to sharpen up your knife skills or become a seasoned pro in the kitchen or give a gift voucher for a Christmas present with a difference.
For details, call 01423 814016, email the cookery school or visit the Bettys cookery school website.
