Gamekeepers, Stalkers and countryside workers are being recruited to help fight rural crime

The process to recruit gamekeepers, stalkers and countryside workers as special constables to help police fight theft, poaching and vandalism in the countryside was officially launched on 3 July at The Scottish Game Fair, at Scone.

The recruitment drive is being led by Central Scotland and Tayside Police forces, the Scottish Gamekeepers’ Association (SGA) and the Scottish Rural Property and Business Association.
