Scottish crofters have rejected the preliminary findings of Scottish Natural Heritages £100,000 study into sea eagle predation, which could have implications for keepers wanting to protect game birds from raptors.
Nearly 60 lambs in Ross-shire were fitted with radio transmitters, which sent out a signal if the animal died.
Results showed that no lamb corpses were found in sea eagles nests.
