After returning home from winning his 18th world clay shooting championship title in February, George Digweed MBE has officially given his support to the recently launched Bisley Live, Gun and Country Sports Show.

Bisley Live is being held at the National Shooting Centre in Surrey and will bring together more than 200 exhibitors and approximately 25,000 visitors from the UK and abroad.

The three-day event, which is being held from 30 September until 2 October 2011, is designed to promote the sport of shooting and offers the exclusive facility for customers wishing to purchase a gun to ‘try before they buy’.

George said he was delighted to be involved in the event.

“I have had the privilege of shooting at Bisley for more than 20 years. Without question, the show will help promote not only Bisley as the iconic shooting ground in the UK but also the sport of shooting to the wider British public, which can only be a good thing. It was disappointing that Bisley did not win its bid to host the 2012 Olympic shooting games, so the arrival of Bisley Live is both timely and to be welcomed.”

Following the official opening of the show, George will be demonstrating his shooting skills, hosting a lunch in the VIP marquee to be followed by a tour of the exhibition.
