Government panel on forestry supports shooting

The report highlighted the role of shooting in woodland management.

The Government’s Independent Panel on Forestry, born out of the fierce debate over the proposed sale of public forests, earlier this month published a progress report on ways to increase benefits generated from forests in England.

The panel received 42,000 public responses — the role of shooting in woodland management was particularly well highlighted in the report.
