The 28th annual Shooting Times Woodcock Club dinner, sponsored by Glenfarclas whisky, was held recently at Eastnor Castle, in Herefordshire.

One hundred club members and their guests gathered together to celebrate the birds and, in the process, raised more than £4,000 for vital research into the species that is being conducted by the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust.
The British Deer Society’s Summer Internet Auction, to raise funds for the charity’s education and research programme, will go live on 17 May.
Among some outstanding lots are access to a variety of private stalking, fishing and sporting opportunities, as well as sporting goods, paintings, books, holidays and a range of other events.
