BASC’s mission is to promote and protect sporting shooting and the well-being of the countryside throughout the UK and overseas.
This will be highlighted on their main stand at the Westcountry Game Fair on the Showering Pavilion balcony.
This area will feature Wildfowlers Row with a selection of South West Based, BASC affiliated wildfowling clubs offering advice and information including representatives from Devon, Bridgwater, Clevedon, Gloucester, Dorset and Highbridge; Artists Avenue with Dawn Warr, Simon Trinder, Farlap Photography and many more; Gun smith and black powder enthusiast Paul Atkins; The Labrador Rescue Trust; Working Cocker Spaniel rescue and the Deer Initiative.
In addition BASC Conservation will have staff on hand to talk about the numerous conservation projects that are currently underway.
High quality tuition and advice from the BASC team will be on offer on the shotgun coaching line. The tuition includes gun fit and safety instruction.
The ever popular gundog area will feature a wide selection of gundog scurries as well as tests for spaniels and retrievers. A training clinic will be on hand hosted by Bristol & West Working Gundog Club, as well as Mercury vets offering advice on gundogs and their welfare.
