The British Deer Society is calling on stalkers to take extra care when gralloching deer in snow. Spokesman David Kenyon said: “Blood is highly visible against snow and members of the public who come across a gralloch site may become concerned and distressed. It is vital that all stalkers maintain the highest standards and consider all aspects of deer welfare and public perception before squeezing the trigger.”

On the point of gralloching, I found a great knife where it’s got a ball on the end that helps prevent puncturing and therefore contamination. It’s from a professional’s knife supplier called proknife. I typed in grallock knife on Google and found them.
