The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) has joined forces with a team of French scientists from the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique to monitor migratory Atlantic salmon populations over the next three years.
The Atlantic salmon has declined sharply across much of Europe and North America since the 1990s, in some areas by more than 70 per cent.
