Shooting champions sign-up to charity car rally

Five-time Olympic clay shooter Richard Faulds MBE and his world champion clay shooting wife Tanya have signed up to the fifth annual Pink Car Rally, which sees a huge convoy of pink cars travel from John O?Groats to Land?s End in a bid to raise much-needed funds for the Little Princess Trust – a charity that provides real-hair wigs for children suffering with cancer or alopecia.

The rally, which starts on Tuesday 14 August will see a procession of pink cars travel nearly 900 miles over five days.

Richard and Tanya will drive a brand new Chevrolet Spark in Pearl Pink to help raise funds for the Hereford-based charity.

Tanya said: ?Since the charity began in 2006, they have given away more than 1,100 wigs. This year they hope to give away a record 500 wigs! We are delighted to be involved in such a worthwhile cause.?

Organiser Sali Gray said she is hoping to raise in excess of £10,000 this year: ?We are absolutely thrilled that Richard and Tanya are taking part in the Pink Car Rally. Their profiles will really help put the charity on the map.?

?Their pink Spark will join other pink vehicles, including a Great Wall Steed pick-up in Realtree AP Pink, several Fiat 500s and the mighty 44 tonne Big Pink Trucks from Robinsons of Worcester!?
