Can you recommend a suitable seat for using in a pigeon hide? I've just had an operation for haemorrhoids - caused, the doctor says - by sitting too often on damp ground!
Pigeons
PETER THEOBALD says: It`s not for me to question the opinion of any doctor, but certainly you will shoot better and have less aches and pains if you are comfortable in the hide.
My pigeon shooting friend Will Garfit takes a swivel office chair out to his hide, and remains seated whilst shooting, like the rear gunner in a Lancaster!
There are many types of seat on the market, from basic fishing stools to posh shooting sticks. My personal favourite is the padded model marketed by Shootwarehouse. It comes adjustable for height and has a large kicker to stop it sinking into soft ground.
