Can I turn my quad bike into a pigeon shooting hide?

As long as you aren't in motion, you could feasibly make a pigeon hide out of anything!

I've been toying with the idea of turning my quad bike into a mobile hide with ropes, nets and pegs so that I can pack and move more quickly if a flightline changes.

What do you think? Has it been done before?

PIGEON SHOOTING
Peter Theobald
I once knew someone who hand painted an old van in camo colours, and simply drove it to where he wanted to shoot, opened the back doors, and erected his hide so that he was sitting in the back of the van.

It’s not something I would be brave enough to try, but he swore it worked!

As I maintain, there is no rational reason why pigeons would fear inanimate objects, particularly now more of them are becoming urbanised, so, provided the birds cannot see you on your contraption, I see no reason why it shouldn’t do the trick.

To prove my point, we have several woodies visiting our garden bird tables, and one of their favourite vantage points is on the head of a life sized concrete figure!
