Shooting Industry Awards 2017 open for entries

It is time to enter Time Inc’s annual Shooting Industry Awards, the only awards of its kind to acknowledge the UK Shooting Industry’s achievements and innovations throughout the previous year.

The dinner and award ceremony will once again take place at the Mercure Brandon Hall near Coventry on Thursday, 11th May 2017. See the winners of the 2016 awards here.

As in previous years to ensure the judging process is fair and independent, the Awards’ judging panel remains a mix of our highly respected editors as well as experts from the world of shooting. The Time Inc. Editors will this year be joined by gunsmith Shane Robinson, game shooter John Walker and gamekeeper Liam Bell.

Change to entry procedure

There are no new categories this year but we have changed the entry procedure for the Best UK Gun Shop and Shooting Ground returning to self- nomination rather than nomination from our readers. The judges will draw up a shortlist of entries in both these categories which will be visited by a ‘mystery shopper’.

Please remember that the 2017 Awards relate to products launched within the UK between January and December 2016. Please take time to read the judging criteria for the category you are entering, as these form the basis of the judges’ decision.

Don’t forget to send your product sample if required — we will not be able to judge your entry without it. All products sent will of course be returned after the Awards.
