Is it possible to alter the cast and comb height of these guns in the same way as a ?normal? stock?
The general opinion among gunsmiths and stockers is that these stocks cannot be bent by the conventional method ? that is, using either hot oil or heat applied with a heat gun.
However, Jason Harris tells me that, as long as the stock is retained by a conventional bolt passing through the hand, small adjustments in cast are possible by re-cutting the fit between the rear of the action and the head of the stock.
The method is not generally successful if comb height is to be altered.
If you need a higher comb, you could easily fit a comb raiser to see how it affects your shooting.
