The shooting is controlled by Natural England and they operate a permit scheme for wildfowling which is run on their behalf by local wildfowlers.
Permits can be obtained by sending a stamped and self addressed envelope to Lindisfarne Wildfowl Management Group, c/o 42 Barnston, North Seaton, Ashington, Northumberland, NE63 9TY.
