Young people, who want to get involved in shooting and other rural activities, are set to benefit from a donation from the Beaulieu estate in Hampshire.
The estate has donated £400 to BASC’s Young Shots programme.
Young Shot activity days are designed to give children a taste of things like gundog training, shotgun safety and skills, air rifles, deer stalking, wildfowling, ferreting and fishing.
Head gamekeeper at Beaulieu, Peter Stagg, presented the cheque to BASC at the New Forest Show last week.
Peter said: “Beaulieu Estate is pleased to be able to offer support to worthwhile causes through shoot fundraising. This year our sweepstake money has been split two ways between BASC Young Shots and the Hampshire Air Ambulance – both worthwhile causes which benefit the countryside today and in the future”.
