Find out more.Dr Stephen Tapper, director of policy and public affairs for the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT), will be retiring in December after a career with the charity that has spanned more than 35 years.
Steve Tapper joined the Game Conservancy Trust, as it was then, in 1974. He has scientific expertise in a wide range of subjects, but is probably best known for
his research on brown hares, which showed that it was changing farm rotations and predation, rather than pesticides, that were responsible for the species? sudden decline.
Paying tribute to his colleague, Ian Coghill, the GWCT?s chairman of trustees, said: ?Steve is a scientist par excellence, a man whose honesty and integrity is beyond all dispute.?
