Sportsman’s Association (SA) chairman Savvas Toufexis earlier this month won an appeal against the commissioner of the Metropolitan Police for the grant of an unrestricted .44 magnum revolver for the humane despatch of wild boar and larger species of deer. The SA campaigns for the rights of pistol shooters.

At Wood Green Crown Court on Friday 9 April, Judge Morrison sitting with justices granted an unrestricted .44 magnum revolver for the humane despatch of wild boar and larger species of deer in the UK and abroad.
