A team of grouse moor keepers from the North York Moors, including Spaunton Moor, have raised £30,000 in aid of local cancer charities and hospitals, such as the holistic cancer care centre at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

The group organised a series of events from a sponsored mountain bike ride and a clay pigeon shoot, to a charity auction, which alone raised £20,000.
