When deer stalking, do you bury the gralloch?

Do you bury any deer stalking gralloch or leave it above ground to be cleaned up by carrion eating birds and foxes?

Deer stalking
GEORGE WALLACE
I firmly believe that the gralloch is too valuable a food source to be buried or otherwise destroyed.

Just make sure you don’t leave it where Lady Trumpington-Fanshawe’s blue-rinsed poodle is going to return to mum dragging umpteen yards of deer intestines behind it.

Everything – and I really mean everything – from wrens and blue tits to hedgehogs, badgers and wild boar will eat some part of the gralloch.

Birds, beasts and insects all derive vital nutrients from it, so it is a crime against Nature to bury all that good grub where they can’t reach it.

Just avoid leaving entrails where sensitive members of the public might see them.
