An opportunity has arisen for a quality and ambitious gamekeeper on a well-resourced privately-owned pheasant and partridge shoot in Dorset. The estate has recently added new ground such that the total acreage is now around 3,000 acres. The estate plan is to have the successful applicant run the new ground comprising 1,100 acres. The job offers an exciting near term opportunity for an ambitious candidate, with excellent longer term career development on a progressive and supportive estate:-
Near term – taking control and responsibility for the 1,100 acre shoot.
Longer term – Having proven the ability to manage and develop an exciting shoot on the new estate, the opportunity then to be appointed headkeeper of the whole estate.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience.
The position comes with accommodation and an attractive renumeration package. It is anticipated that the applicant will be in post by May 2026.
