Shooting charity event raises £11K for air ambulance.
The event was organised by Northamptonshire based Hellidon Shooting Association and held at Shuckburgh country estate, the family home of its chairman, James Shuckburgh.

The main shooting event, a 200-bird team flush, saw 34 teams of four battling for the honours. There were also several other stands where people could try clay pigeon shooting.

The eventual winners ‘Have it’, captained by Eddie Bennett, were awarded the Silver Grouse trophy.

Some 470 guests attended the black tie dinner, where the main prize in the grand draw was a 4×4 all-terrain quad bike, worth £4,500.

“The event was a tremendous success and I would like to thank everyone who helped with sponsorship,” said James Shuckburgh.

“It was fantastic to see local residents and businesses coming together to raise such a generous amount of money for such a worthwhile cause. Earlier this year, one of our club members had a life threatening experience, WNAA came to his rescue, and their skill and speed saved his life. This is why the WNAA is such a worthwhile charity to sponsor.”
