Fund set aside for threatened wildlife

Natural England has allotted £995,000 for its Species Recovery Programme. The programme, which works in partnership with other organisations, will fund 56 conservation projects to aid the recovery of some of the UK’s most threatened species, including mammals, birds, reptiles, bees, worms, flowering plants, mosses, lichens and fungi.
