Olympic Shooting Test Event misery for GB shooters

The Olympic shooting test event, which took place last week at the Royal Artillery Barracks in southeast London, was disappointing for British shooters.
As Shooting Times went to press, no GB shooter had qualified for a final in any event.
Peter Wilson, who broke the double-trap world record last month, managed seventh place.
More encouraging was the performance of Jon Hammond, who only just missed out on qualification for the final of the 50m rifle prone event.
British competitors were hoping for better fortune in the trap and 50m rifle three positions events, which featured on the final two days of competition (results in next week?s issue).
