In an article on 22 November we reported that Chris Packham faced a legal bill of £150,000 as a result of his successful libel action against Fieldsports Channel Limited because he had sued the wrong company, and that he might not see any compensation as a result of that error. We are happy to make clear that Fieldsports Channel Limited’s directors admitted in court documents that the company was responsible for the publications complained of, and the company has already paid the first of three instalments of the compensation it has agreed to pay Mr Packham. We apologise to Mr Packham for inaccurately suggesting otherwise.
