Campaigners are appealing to pet food manufacturers to label ingredients clearly.
The Campaign for Real Pet Food, which is concerned by the lack of openness and honesty in pet food labelling, was launched on 3 September. Behavioural problems in children caused by food additives are increasingly common and it is thought that the nations pets are suffering similar reactions to their diet. Natural pet food manufacturers are
also supporting the campaign, pledging only to use high-quality, individually identified ingredients.
