Is it possible to ferret and work big burrows by yourself or do you recommend taking helpers along?
FERRETING
Edward Cook
Yes, you can work single handed but everything depends on the density of any vegetation surrounding the burrows.
That said, even on big burrows out in the open many hands make light work!
Working big burrows of 200 or more holes means you are going to have to put a lot of ferrets to ground and particularly if the tunnel system goes deep.
In this situation it’s well nigh impossible for one man to keep an eye out for that number of ferrets, let along cope with any complications that might arise when the bunnies start bolting.
If you’re going to purse net all the holes, encircle the burrow with long nets and get a friend to lend a helping hand.
