Pigeon shooting: Is it worth going to the trouble of sticking real pigeon wings to plastic decoys. Does it make them more effective?
PIGEON SHOOTING
Peter Theobald
We’ve all tried tricks like this in the past, and it can certainly do no harm to put them to the test, but I’m not sure, with all the sophisticated gadgets on the market, that it makes any significant difference.
That said, I did it in the past because I was so keen to try and find an edge that would enable me to shoot more pigeons, but as years go by, I have come to the conclusion that the equipment we use, probably only represents 10% of a successful day.
Make no mistake, a man with experience, but no equipment, will shoot more pigeons than a man with ‘all the gear but no idea’.
