Jeffrey Olstead is BASC’s head of publications. After Cambridge he worked for regional newspapers, BBC local radio and Radio 4, where he was a senior producer and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in recognition of his environmental broadcasting. A former master of mink hounds and secretary of a fell pack, he has been shooting (badly) for 40 years, has a half-gun in a local syndicate, is a member of Dyfi wildfowlers and is passionate fly-fisher.
