A total of 221 roe heads achieved medal status in England and Wales in 2013, although none of the heads from Wales reached medal level this year.
The most gold heads were from Hampshire, which produced eight of the 27 heads at gold level. Wiltshire led the field with 37 heads, of which six were gold medals, whilst Dorset produced 22 heads (three gold), Northumberland produced nine, with two gold, and Yorkshire produced 10, three of which were gold medals.
