Kits or adults?

A) There is no doubt that ferrets are great for children. They teach them to be responsible and respectful towards animals and for this reason alone I would suggest getting your son a couple of eight-week-old ferret kit jills.

Ferret rescue centres do fantastic work and a sterling job, but unless you know the history of an animal it may not be suitable for a young boy or his first experience at keeping his own ferret. Kits are small enough for him to handle and as they grow so will his confidence in handling them correctly. You can never handle a ferret enough and as the arrival of the kits coincides with school holidays, there should be no excuse for not playing with and handling his ferrets.
