A private seller is selling this great example of a Chopitea Side-by-Side 12-bore Boxlock Ejector Shotgun for sale at £325!
This gun is in excellent condition especially considering that it was manufactured in 1973. The barrels show some light signs of use but are in good condition.
The bores are free from pits and defects. The barrels are tight against the action and the break lever is just to the left of centre.
The boxlock action has been blued and features hand engraving on all surfaces. The action is in sound mechanical condition.
The walnut stock boasts beautiful striations, that has been further enhanced with a traditional oil finish. Furthermore the stock has a hand checkered wrap around grip.
It has a manual safety and double triggers. Both of the triggers have a crisp break and a smooth action. The break action is slick and the ejectors kick the cartridges out with authority.
Due to the weight and balance this gun would make a great game gun but is also heavy enough to use for sporting clays.
The fixed half and full chokes suit this gun to most targets.
It is an extremely rare gun. The gun can easily be fired from the right or left shoulder as there is no cast on the stock. This is a very classy traditional shotgun at a great price.
SPECIFICATIONS:
12-gauge (70mm)
14″ length of pull
28″ barrels
