Their new shop is a 5,600 sqft unit with a 30 metre x 6 lane shooting range, with a 5 metre firing line space.

There?s also a retail gun room and shop, café & refreshments area and a training room.

The gunshop will be catering specifically for airguns, shotguns and rifles, rimfire and centrefire, live rounds and cartridges.

Trevor Horner, co-director of Idleback Chairs, explains: ?The business plan for the new premises was to have multi-revenue streams, so as not to be too dependent upon one aspect of the business.”

“Although our chairs have established the business and brand, the early signs for the new venture look very promising indeed.?

?The new premises are based in an urban district, and our aim is to bring city people into our sport – a sport which definitely has its roots firmly planted in a rural setting.?

The Idelback range and shop is surrounded by a large catchment area, and is within 2 miles of the M1 and Junctions 1 and 2 of the M18.

The new shooting range features overhead, remote control targets and sixty ?nock-over? targets, which have been adapted with a lighting and pneumatic resetting system.

The airgun range will soon have a timing system on each lane, to facilitate speed-shooting competitions against the clock, and a plasma screen showing the competitors the leader board.
