Another new appointment to DEFRA
North East Somerset MP Dan Norris is the latest MP to be appointed to DEFRA following Gordon Brown’s recent Cabinet reshuffle
Dan Norris, who is now minister for rural affairs, joins the departments existing Parliamentary under-secretary of state, Huw Irranca-Davies, environment secretary Hilary Benn and newly appointed minister of state, Jim Fitzpatrick. Mr Norris was one of the most vociferous supporters of the 2004 Hunting Act.
