BASC confirms 2026 Council election results

BASC has announced the results of its 2026 Council elections, with new representatives chosen for England and Wales at the association’s AGM on 28 May at Marford Mill, near Wrexham.

Will Wilkinson elected for England

Will Wilkinson takes the England seat. A vet, reservist and bee farmer from Hampshire who came to fieldsports from a non-shooting family, Mr Wilkinson shoots game and clays and is working towards his DSC2 and says he hopes to demonstrate that the sport can represent everyone involved. “I’ll now get up to speed with everything at BASC and help show that we can represent everyone involved in fieldsports, making evidence-based decisions built on sound principles,” he said.

Tomos Davies elected for Wales

Tomos Davies fills the Wales seat. The Monmouthshire-based fluent Welsh speaker has a background spanning public service, ministerial advice and non-executive roles and is an active shot who beats, picks up and supports a local syndicate. “I’m absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to serve and represent BASC Wales members on Council,” he said. “This will be a crucial year for the association.”

Both will serve five-year terms on the governing Council, which is drawn from elected members across the UK.
