BASC takes on shooting magazine discrimination: BASC is asking for its members’ help in stamping out discrimination against shooting magazines, including Shooting Times.
WHSmith has lifted its age restrictions on the sale of shooting magazines, and both WHSmith and Tesco have confi rmed that they do not have a top-shelf policy for shooting magazines, but local stores do still discriminate against them.
Anyone having trouble finding, or buying, shooting magazines should report the issue to BASC at bit.ly/11bE2Mc.
BASC awarded 18-year-old James Reynolds the Ian Richardson Trophy at its AGM on 8 June.
James set up a petition and used social media to gather the support of more than 12,000 for his campaign to put an end to the age restriction imposed on buying shooting magazines by WHSmith.
