With big cats such as panthers roaming the countryside would it be legal for somebody out shooting foxes and vermin to shoot such an animal given the chance?

DAVID FROST says: I think it unlikely the conditions you have on your firearms certificate would cover shooting animals of this sort.
They do not fall within the usually accepted definition of vermin.
Besides why shoot one anyway, unless it’s worrying sheep?
