Black Labrador destroyed after being mauled by seal

A black Labrador has had to be put down after it was mauled by a seal in the North Sea, near Newburgh in Aberdeenshire.

The three-year-old dog, named Fly, was retrieving a duck shot by owner Matthew Will.

?I?m still trying to come to terms with it all,? said Mr Will.

?Now I just want to warn other dog owners of the danger so that they won?t have to face the same anguish and horror that I have.?

Locals said that signs reading ?Beware: seals may attack dogs in water? had recently been vandalised and removed.
